Clarification on secondary event invites

I am a little confused on what level of premium I need to invite a subset of people to a secondary event. I am organizing a personal event (wedding invitation) and will have:

1. a reception as the primary event (everyone invited) and
2. a welcome dinner (subset of guests invited). 

My understanding is that

• to include a secondary event you need the a premium (platinum) plan
• to indicate which guests would be included in the secondary event, I would need to tag them

However, in order to invite this subset of guests based on the tag, would the platinum premium plan suffice? Or do I need to upgrade to a business plan? What I ultimately want is one set of guests' invitation to include an RSVP for the reception only and a subset of guests' invitation to include an RSVP for the reception and welcome dinner.

  Here’s a clear breakdown that should help, both for you and anyone else following along:

  Yes - the Platinum (Personal) plan is sufficient for what you’re trying to do. You do not need a business plan.

  With the Platinum personal plan, you can:

  • Create one primary event (your reception)
  • Add up to 5 secondary events to that same event (for example, a welcome dinner)
  • Invite only a subset of guests to a secondary event by using tags

  In your case:

  • The reception would be the primary event (visible to everyone)
  • The welcome dinner would be set up as a secondary event
  • You would tag the guests who should be invited to the welcome dinner
  • Only guests with that tag will see the RSVP option for the welcome dinner
  • Guests without the tag will only see the reception RSVP

  This results in:

  • One group of guests RSVPing only to the reception
  • A subset of guests RSVPing to both the reception and the welcome dinner - all from the same invitation flow.
