Anyone having trouble estimating editing time for event videos?

Hi,
I’ve been trying to plan out realistic timelines for event videos that need to be uploaded before or after an rsvp closes, but I keep running into an issue: the time I think the edits will take never matches the actual editing time.

During a conversation about this with someone, they pointed out how some mobile editors — like those similar to the capcut-apk tools, sometimes keep running background processes, which throws off time estimates. That might be part of why my workflow feels so unpredictable when I’m preparing media alongside an rsvp schedule.

Has anyone else had trouble syncing editing tasks with event deadlines? I’m curious whether the issue comes from the editing apps, the device load, or just poor time estimation on my part.

This gives some breathing room in case the editing takes longer than planned. Others prefer to finalize and upload all their media files before setting or sharing their RSVP timeline, so everything is already in place.
