Fees added
I'm trying to understand how the fees are applied. When I do the calculations, I'm always lower than what the actual charge is.
Your fee is 1.95% + $.90 USD per ticket/item/donation. The TOTAL of all that is then used to add the Stripe Fee, which is
2.9% + $.30 USD/transaction.
The cost of one of my dinner tickets is $110.
When I compute the final fee for 2 dinner tickets ($220), I come up with $12.95 as the "service fee"
However the RSVPify form is showing $13.15
We have some pretty substantial sponsorships we're asking for so I want to be sure I can give the correct total and understand it given the fees the two systems charge.
Also, I tried the free fee calculator for this same scenario, and it comes up with a total fee of $13.07.
Can you tell me what I'm missing?
Thanks!

Hi Eileen,
Thank you for reaching out. Happy to clarify!
The fee discrepancy you're seeing occurs because you are using the fee pass-through option, in which the attendees themselves cover the cost of the fees. The reason this changes the total fees is that the Stripe fee is taken out of the total paid amount. In order for you to be able to clear the full amount of the ticket cost, and the RSVPify fee to remain unchanged, the total amount is increased slightly to account for the Stripe fee. To clarify, when the fee pass-through is accounted for, the breakdown is the following for 2 tickets purchased:
$220 - total ticket costRSVPify fee is 1.95% + $.90 per ticket sold. In this case, it would be:
$220 x 1.95% = $4.29 + $1.8 (2 tickets sold) = $6,09
Stripe fee gets calculated from the following total:
$233.15 = Total after the fees
Stripe fee is $233.15 x 2.9% = $6,76 + $.30 per transaction, it's $7.06 for the Stripe fee
Therefore the total fee is $6,09 + $7,06 = $13.15
I hope this clarifies things, but if you do have any other questions, feel free to reach out to our live chat and we'll be happy to take you through these steps more closely.
Best,
Emir

I’m following along with the logic and the formulas. Where I’m going different from you is that I’m ending up with $226.09 that gets sent over to Stripe.
Where as you’re showing $233.19.
Can you look at this part again and tell me how you’re coming up with the $233.19
$220 x 1.95% = $4.29 + $1.8 (2 tickets sold) = $6,09
Stripe fee gets calculated from the following total:
$233.15

I am having this same problem.
RSVPify verbiage:
Your RSVPify service fee is 1.95% of the total order value plus $0.90 per ticket, paid item, and/or donation.
Ticket $150
150 * 1.95% = 2.93
2.93 + 0.90 = 3.83
why when I go to buy the ticket the service fee shows 8.73??
Is the amount when you do fee pass through more or something?

For anyone wondering they sneak in and do not clearly state this.
When I connected a stripe account it gave me this :
"Your RSVPify service fee is 1.95% of the total order value plus $0.90 per ticket, paid item, and/or donation"
however from doing an online chat come to find out that is just RSVPify's fee. there is a stripe fee as well.
- Our RSVPify service fee is 1.95% + $0.90 USD per ticket or per person.
- Stripe credit card processing is 2.9% + $0.30 USD per transaction. Stripe rates can vary by country.

Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
The 1.95% + $0.90 per ticket/person referenced in our pricing is the RSVPify platform service fee. This fee covers the use of the RSVPify event management platform.
Separately, payment processing fees are charged by Stripe, which is the third-party payment processor used to securely process credit card payments. These fees are not charged by RSVPify directly. Stripe’s standard processing rate in the U.S. is 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, though rates can vary slightly depending on the country or card type.
You can choose to pass part of these fees or all fees along to your guests, or choose to set ticket prices at a cost that would effectively include or help subsidize these fees.
We always aim to be transparent about how fees are structured, and you can find additional details about both the RSVPify platform fee and Stripe processing fees in our RSVPify Help Library.
Best,
The RSVPify Team0
