Will a confirmation email go out if I mark guests as "attending"

Hi! I need to mark my guests as "attending" but I'm afraid to do so since I don't want to send them a confirmation or QR Code yet. I would like to send them an email closer to the event. How do I mark them as attending without sending an email?

  Thank you for reaching out. Happy to help!

  Confirmation emails won't be automatically sent when a guest is marked as attending; however, you will have the option to do so (mark the check box "send confirmation email"). Email is sent only if that box is toggled on. You have a quick gif/video instructions for that here:

  Of course, you are welcome to send out a custom email with the QR code included later on through our email builder tool: Email Builder Overview
