When sending email with web link, can i use merge tags?

I seem to be able to create an email with a URL in it, and customize the URL using merge tags, this is all good, but when the email is sent, the web links are all changed to rsvpify links like:

https://email.rsvpify.org....etc etc...

Instead of my original link of: https://www.mike.com/firstnamelastname

Is there any workaround?

  I had a chance to look into your email reports and checked out the link you added to the email button. It seems like the button is forwarding me to the correct survey page on my end.
