One event with multiple time slots for same event

I have an event that has different sign-up time options. I just want to have various time slots people can sign up for, maxing each slot out at 8 people. 8 people at 10:00am, 8 people at noon, etc.

Same event, with 8 openings per event.
5 different time slot opportunities for the same event
(a one hour how-to class).
So I want to allow people to choose their time slot until that slot has filled.
The "secondary event" isn't making sense to me in this scenario.

Is this possible to do? A one time event (a how-to one-hour class). Same day. Pick your time: 10am? 11am? 12pm? etc.

  Thanks for getting in touch and sharing the question with the community!
  
  You can create 8 different product tiers that would serve as time slots. For example:
  
  1. Attending (10 am - 11 am)
  2. Attending ( 11 am - 12 pm) - etc. 
  
  You can set the capacity limit to 8 for those individual ticket tiers and limit the number of attendees that can register in the same group.
