Scroll down text not showing on mobile

Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out!It hasn’t been updated yet, so you’re not missing anything. On mobile, the RSVP button can make it look like “that’s the whole page,” and there isn’t currently a built in mobile only “scroll down” prompt that appears beneath/alongside that button.
Best workaround right now is to add a short “Scroll down for invitation details” line, but only display it on mobile using Custom CSS. The idea is to place that line in its own website block (so it can be targeted), then hide it on desktop with a media query.
If you can add a small Text block directly under the Cover block that says something like “Scroll down for invitation details,”
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other issues or questions. We are happy to help! -
Hi Keshon,
Hope you're well today, and many thanks for choosing RSVPify for your event! Thanks for reaching out about this. There is no prompt to "scroll down" on the mobile site. This is by design since it's a user's natural inclination to scroll down on a mobile device. You could add text to the subtitle of your cover block letting the guests know they need to scroll down if they're using a mobile phone.
Hope that clarifies things, but if you need more support please let us know!
Best,
Keegan

Any chance you've updated this and put "scroll down" on the mobile site yet? I don't see it so perhaps not. That's too bad as while it may be that people's natural inclination is to scroll down on mobile devices, the thing that supercedes that tendency is a big button that says "RSVP" sitting there without any way to know that there is anything below to scroll to! From experience I can tell you that most people click the RSVP button and jump right the RSVPs without seeing the invite. Yes, I could add smaller text that says "scroll down" on the cover block as recommended above, but then that text will be there on the desktop version too along with RSVPify's "scroll down" so that seems like a poor solution.

Ok, thank you for the prompt response! I tried placing a small text block with "scroll down for more" under the cover block and the problem is that it does not show on a mobile unless you scroll down, thus defeating the purpose.
I'm open to trying to add small text to "scroll down" to the bottom of the cover block, but since I don't know how to do the CSS, is there a way to disable the "Scroll Down" that RSVPify automatically puts on the desktop version so there isn't a weird duplicate message?

Oh wait, that won't work either as I can't independently edit that line so it would be as big as my date line which I do not want. Any other suggestions?
I realize that this might seem like an overblown request, but I sent the invite to 4 people to try out and all 4 just hit the RSVP and didn't scroll down (granted, they are all Millenials or older but that is true for a big chunk of the invitees).
Also, even though I've used RSVPify in the past, over this past year I've recieved several RSVPify invites myself and still did this - just hit the RSVP button (I was thinking it would take me to the invite) but then I was in the RSVP forms and had to try to remember how to get to the invite once I'm already in all the RSVP forms and I'm not clear on what I'm RSVPing for.

Hi Amanda,
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this in detail , and honestly, you’re not overblowing it at all. What you’re describing is a very real usability issue, and your example with multiple test guests (and even your own experience as a guest) really highlights it clearly.
To answer your questions directly:
There hasn’t been an update yet that adds a mobile-only “scroll down” indicator beneath the RSVP button, so you’re correct that you’re seeing the current intended behavior. And you’re also right that the RSVP button on mobile tends to override the natural instinct to scroll, especially since it looks like the primary call to action.
Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to disable or hide the built-in “Scroll Down” indicator that appears on desktop only. That element is system-controlled and can’t be independently toggled, so adding your own scroll prompt will show on both desktop and mobile.
You’ve also correctly identified the other limitation:
Any text added inside the Cover block (like adding a “scroll down” line near the bottom) will inherit the same styling as other cover text elements, so it can’t be made smaller or more subtle without affecting the rest of the cover content.Given all of that, the realistic options today are admittedly imperfect:
One option some hosts use is to slightly reword the main cover text to hint that more information follows, for example a short line like “Invitation details below” incorporated into the description text.
This avoids adding a separate visual element but still nudges guests to scroll.Another option is to accept that most guests will land in the RSVP flow first, and then rely on the “Back to Event” or header navigation to guide them back to the invitation details. I fully understand your point, though, that this is not intuitive and often causes confusion about what they’re RSVPing to.
I want to be very clear that your feedback here is not just reasonable , it’s valuable. The fact that multiple people independently missed the invitation content is exactly the kind of signal product teams need. I’ve shared this thread and your specific observations internally so it’s logged as a genuine UX issue, not just a styling preference.
I’m really sorry that I don’t have a cleaner technical solution for you right now. If you’d like, I can also review your specific event layout and suggest wording or placement tweaks that minimize this issue as much as possible within the current constraints.
Thank you again for being so thoughtful and candid it truly helps us improve.
