Testing Stripe on ticketed event

I can see that my Stripe account is connected, but I was hoping to do a trial run to make sure everything is working and see how my Stripe account updates. I'd prefer not to process a real charge yet. Can I do this?

  Hi Anna,

  Thanks for your post! Yes, this is definitely possible - great question.

  While in draft mode, you will be able to fully test and preview your RSVP and event payment experience. In other words, complete an RSVP and submit payment without actually processing a live payment. Here's a 'dummy' credit card number for you to test with:

  To test your form before publishing the event, click on the preview event ('eye') icon in the top menu. 

  Navigate through the registration as if you were a guest - when you get to checkout, you will enter one of Stripe's 'dummy' card numbers. Here's an example:

  Visa
  4242 4242 4242 4242  

  *Expiration date and CVV (verification) can be any random value you like. Make sure your expiration date is in the future and your CVV is a numerical value.

  Then click pay to checkout. To see how this looks in Stripe, login to your account and locate the 'Test mode' toggle in the top right corner of the screen. Once enabled, you'll be able to view test data in your Stripe dashboard.
